What A Nevada Governors Can Do About Illegal Immigration
By Ken Record

Remember this.  Whenever you hear, “Immigration is a federal problem and there’s nothing a governor can do about it,” you are hearing a cop out.  Now, some governors and gubernatorial candidates are weasel wording by implying that only border state governors can do something.  Hello there! The last time I checked Minnesota, Georgia, Kentucky, Maine and New Hampshire were still part of the union. read more-->

ARE WE A REPUBLIC OR A DEMOCRACY?
Walter E. Williams
January 5, 2005

In 2003 the Nevada State Constitution came under attack by our very own State Supreme Court. With no justification the court ruled to invalidate an amendment that the people of Nevada had voted twice to pass which would require the State Legislature to have 2/3 majority vote to increase taxes. The reason they gave for doing so was that the people of the state were too stupid to know what they were voting for when they passed the amendment. read more-->
