I am writing to you today to inform you of my resignation as chairman of We The People Nevada. This does not mean that WTPN will stop fighting for the rights and freedoms of the people of our state. The WTPN board has elected former Assemblywoman Sharron Angle to head our organization.

Sharron has proven herself to be a tough tax fighter by her tenure in the Legislature. Many times she was the lone voice speaking against excessive taxation. Sharron was the sponsor of the Angle Property Tax Restraint Initiative in 2006 that WTPN decided to promote and support. Many of you supported us with your generous donations and for that we give you our heartfelt thanks.

In 2003 I agreed to take the position as chairman of We The People Nevada which was newly formed to fight the assault on our Nevada State Constitution when the then current corrupt Nevada Supreme Court justices invalidated the Gibbons amendment which required a 2/3rds vote of the legislature to increase taxes.

I have served as chairman for 3 and ½ years and have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to serve my fellow Nevadans. Without a doubt I will be there for Sharron and the new board to share with them all I learned in our last Prop 13 effort should they decide to take up the mantle and pursue a similar inititative.

I want to personally thank everyone who supported us in the past with donations and volunteer effort for your help, commitment and sacrifice on the behalf of the ideals of liberty, truth and justice that we have pursued. I hope that you will continue to support Sharron and the new board with the same in their future labors to maintain the quality of life and freedoms we Nevadans have learned to enjoy.
